Over 1100 people are coming home to Philadelphia under the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's Commonwealth v LEE ruling - most of them elderly, most of them Black, most having served decades behind bars. Philadelphia has no infrastructure specifically designed to receive them - the elderly, the medically complex, the institutionalized - people who have been inside for decades and need far more than a shelter bed or a halfway house to rebuild a life.

Jackie's House is building that infrastructure now. A prison curriculum. A certification. A job. A home. A community. All of it ready before release day - not after.

WHAT WE DO

We deliver a 24 - week evidence-based curriculum inside Pennsylvania State correctional facilities. We help participants earn a nationally recognized certification before release. We connect graduates to professional training partners and employ them from day one. And we operate the Sisterhood - a private home for women veterans opening November 1, 2026 (currently working with Social Workers to assess and interview the right candidates)

A private home for women Veterans

At 1600 W. Diamond Street in Philadelphia, LaRica - a certified nonmedical Personal Care Home Administrator - welcomes women veterans into her family. Three private rooms. One wheelchair accessible suite with privated en-suite bathroom and private parking. Meals, daily support, and around-the clock care provided personally by LaRica.

The Sisterhood is not a facility. It is a home, my private home. And it will accept residents November 1, 2026.

upon successful graduation, will operate food stalls, PCH and Adult Day Program, environmental maintainence, employs program graduates in real jobs, and generates revenue to fund expanded programming and live training.

Jackie's House: Nonprofit 501(c)(3)

Acquires properties, secures grants, and provides job training behind the walls and outside that lead to certifications in businesses owned and operated by our social enterprise arm, wraparound reentry support including housing, mental health services, family reunification and mentorship.

The Sisterhood is LaRica Grant's private home.

At 1600 W. Diamond Street in Philadelphia, LaRica - a certified nonmedical assisted living administrator, licensed caregiver, cook, and direct care worker - welcomes women veterans into her family. Not into a program. Not into a facility. Into her home.

The Sisterhood is completely standalone and entirely separate from the Jackie's House reentry program. It exists for one reason: because women who served this country deserve to come home to safety, dignity, and someone who genuinely cares.

The Sisterhood opens November 1, 2026.

Three private rooms are available.

Room 1 - Wheelchair accessible first floor suite with a private en-suite bathroom and dedicated accessible parking. For a woman veteran who self-transfers.

Rooms 2 and 3 - Private bedroom for ambulatory women veterans.

All residents receive meals, medication reminders, daily living support, and the presence of a live-in caregiver available around the clock. LaRica provides all care personally.

WHO THE SISTERHOOD IS FOR

The Sisterhood is for women veterans who need a safe, private, supportive home environment with personal care without all of the restrictions a facility would have. This is your home. We have safety measures of course but you will treat it like it's your own home accept with 24/7 supportive care. Women veterans are encouraged to apply. Multiple payment options are available. Rates are well below comparable private residential care in Philadelphia. Contact us for current availability.

The Sisterhood is not a medical facility. It is a home - with all the warmth, care, and belonging that word is supposed to mean.
